6. The Application Period for "Path of the Mind in Transportation Award Application"s and "Academic Paper/Article Submissions" Have Been Extended Until April 25th

Dear ITS Türkiye Stakeholders,

Firstly, we wish mercy from Allah to our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, patience to those who are left behind, urgent healing to our wounded people, and hope to overcome the difficulties and pains brought by this great disaster by facing them together as a nation.

As you know, this year we plan to hold 4th International ITS Summit (SUMMITS'23) between 15-17 March 2023. We have cancelled 4th International ITS Summit (SUMMITS'23) due to this dire situation as a country and a nation.

In this period when the wounds in our country are tried to be healed, the importance of the continuity of the studies that will contribute to development, change and transformation has become more apparent. In this context, especially non-governmental organizations have important duties within the framework of their fields of activity. We share with you that we have decided to extend the application periods for "6th Path of the Mind in Transportation Award Applications" and "Academic Paper/Article Submissions" which have planned as ITS Türkiye until April 25, 2023.

Dear stakeholders, until April 25, 2023;

• You can apply "Path of the Mind in Transportation Awards", in order to contribute to the development of intelligent transportation and mobility technologies, which is an interdisciplinary subject, in our country, to contribute to the emergence of domestic and national products, to contribute to the emergence of innovative solutions in the field of ITS and to contribute to the awareness and trained human resources capacity,
• You can submit your studies that will contribute to the literature and prepare on subjects such as digitalization in transportation, logistics, connected, cooperative and autonomous mobility, shared and electric mobility. Within the scope of the "Academic Paper/Article Submission"activity planned by ITS Türkiye for the first time this year.

The awards of the winners of the 6th Path of the Mind in Transportation Awards will be presented at the "ITS Türkiye 5th Ordinary General Assembly".

The academic papers and articles to be sent will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee and the authors responsible for the paper/article will be informed by e-mail until May 20, 2023 about the acceptance or rejection of the study. The articles evaluated as appropriate by the Scientific Committee are planned to be published on JITSA (AUSUD-Intelligent Transportation Systems and Application Journal) and SUMMITS and ITS Türkiye websites,  and  the papers are planned to be published on SUMMITS and ITS Türkiye websites.
